 Nagarhole National park (Adventureous Coorg)-25Kms

This is a good venture for wild life freaks who can go on a jungle safari organized by the forest department. Check out the forest office for the tariif and schedule. The sanctury has many wild animals. The 5pm trip is recommended to be in a position to spot anilamals. If you are lucky, you can spot Tigers. Deers are a common sight.. Trecking is also an option with proper pemissions the forest department is very strict about venturing in the forest. without proper permissions.

 
 Irpu Falls (Romatic Coorg) - 20Kms
Irpu falls is on the way to Nagarhole. You can visit these falls and then proceed for the evening jungle safari. This is a picturesque place where the Bramhagiri river plunges 170 ft into the lush and densely wooded forests.
 
Dubare (Adventureous Coorg)-@40Kms
You  can visit the Dubare elephant training camp where the elephats are trained by the 'Mahuts'. You need to reach before 9am. Later the elephats proceed to the forests. 
 
32Kms from Dubare is Nisargadhama. This is a densely wooded island where the gushing Cauvery river forks into 2 rivers. 
About 22 kms from Dubare is Harangi Dam where again Cauvery river reveals her beauty while winding through gentle slopes of densely wooded forests.
 
Madikeri (Romantic Coorg) - @70Kms
Madikeri often refered as 'Markara' locally, is located on the hilly terrains of Coorg and is a popular tourists destination. Polular places of visit is Madikeri fort which was rebuilt by Tipu Sultan. Raja'seat located right in the town. This is atop the valley where the Kodagu kings would watch the sunrise and sunsets. 5kms away from the Madireri town is the Abbi Falls which is another popular destination among tourists.
 
 
 Talacauvery (Devine Coorg) - @75Kms
Talacauvery is the orgin of the Cauvery river and has immense religious significance. This place is at the highest peak about 4000ft above the sea level. It is believed that goddess Cauvery makes her appearance every year in October.Talk to the local about this and you would be amazed to hear this unbelievable reality.
